My workshops have found their way into exhibition and festival programming, libraries and schools, and can be adapted for private and professional events. All can be facilitated trí Ghaeilge, or bilingually. ♡
Sweet Sculpture Workshop
We begin with a brief intro to sacred geometry and the platonic solids —the elemental shapes that make up the world around us. Starting with simple cubes and pyramids, we’ll build more complex structures, and eventually go wild building our own creations from sweets and biscuits. Eating your art is optional!
This is a great one for adults to tap back into their innate creativity. Families can also adapt it for an easy at home activity which covers art, fine motorskills, maths, science and the senses. Suitable for all ages.
Juicy Chewy Crunchy: Making Glass Mini-Sculptures
Learn the basics of glass cutting, as well as some fun, low-tech ways to manipulate it. We’ll engrave, scratch, crack, glue, smash, smush, and sandwich glass, combining it with mixed media to make many mini sculptures!
This workshop can be geared towards creativity resurrection for adults and teens over the course of an afternoon, or adapted for professional artists with an established practice.
